This Privacy Policy explains how Brave Minds ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit braveminds.ro, join our waitlist, or receive our emails. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

2. What data we collect

We only collect what we need:

• Data you give us: your first name and email address when you join the waitlist or sign up for a free course; any message you send us via email or the contact form.
• Data collected automatically: basic technical and usage data (such as your device, browser type, and pages visited) through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 6.
• Course data: if you enroll in a paid course, your purchase and account data are handled by our course platforms (see Section 4).

3. How we use your data, and our legal basis

• To deliver your free course and requested resources — legal basis: performance of your request / consent.
• To send you marketing and launch emails (news, offers, course launches) — legal basis: your consent, which you give by checking the consent box. You can withdraw it at any time.
• To operate and improve our website — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a functional, secure site.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations — legal basis: legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. Who we share your data with

We use trusted third-party service providers ("processors") to run our business. They only process your data on our instructions:

• MailerLite — email marketing and delivery of your free course.
• Thinkific — hosting and delivery of our premium courses.
• Udemy — hosting of our courses on their marketplace (governed by Udemy's own privacy policy).
• Our website hosting provider — to serve braveminds.ro.
• Google Fonts and YouTube (embedded videos) — which may load content and set cookies from Google.

International transfers: some of these providers are based outside the EU (for example, in the United States). Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email marketing data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it without undue delay, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal or tax obligations.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential: needed for the site to work.
• Embedded content: Google Fonts and YouTube may set cookies when their content loads on a page.
• Analytics / advertising: this site uses the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. The Meta Pixel may collect data about your visit and share it with Meta. You can opt out of Meta's use of cookies for advertising at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies. These cookies run only where permitted and, where required by law, with your consent.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Restrict or object to how we process your data;
• Data portability (receive your data in a usable format);
• Withdraw consent at any time — every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

8. Children

Our website and courses are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
